I absolutly love it, the only way I think I would improve it would be to have a setting to turn down the music or at least turn it off.

If you are on a M1 mac and can't get it to run, download the Itch.io desktop launcher, download Lil Ladds there, and it should run (at least it did for me).

Can confirm as not compatible with M1.

They are so cute.

Downloaded the mac version and I'm getting an error :'<
Maybe because it's an M1 chip mac?

Same issue here. Intel processor, macOS Ventura 13.2.1. :(

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately, I don't know the cause. I would assume you're right and it has something to do with Unreal Engine 5 and compatibility with some macs. I only tried on one device and it worked there. (To be precise the device was 2018 MacBook pro, no M1/M2)

The issue is that the binary file inside the .app is not marked as executable. macOS apps are actually specially organized folders which contain a main executable, and the rest of the supporting files, + a manifest.

For whatever reason, the binary inside the app is not marked as executable, which means macOS tries to open the app, but can't find any file to execute.

I was able to get it to launch by using terminal and running chmod +x "[path to .app file]/lilLadds.app/Contents/MacOS/lilLadds" and then doing right-click ➜ Shift+Open on the .app file to enable the "Open" option on the "Unverified Developer" screen.

(chmod is a command-line utility to change file attributes. +x is telling it to add (+) the executable attribute, which tells macOS that it is a binary executable.)

It works! Hacker mode on...

Yeah. It's weird that the executable marker was removed.

It'd be like shipping a program on Windows but accidentally removing the ".exe"… Only harder, because on Mac it's part of the file information not the file name.

Not something that's normally easily removed, unless it wasn't there to begin with.

How do you get rid of the UI like in the last three pictures here?

MII but better. I LOVE IT!

Awesome work, compared to the old miis, i feel like this has way more variety.

Love this! Would like to see a greater range of skin tones, not anything for us midtone folks. Would love to see more from this!!

It's planned, I had a lot of requests for this and I totally agree. An easy fix that I'll make and share in the coming days.

this is something i've been waiting a long time for, it's great!

i hope you update it to add more stuff in your spare time if you're feeling up to it, this has alot of potential for artists to make characters with.

very cute!

very limited options but cute :) the beards and mustaches have the most variety because you can mix and match them, it'd be cool if you could do that with more stuff, but i really like this for what it is! hope there's more options at some point in the future <3

Nice~

wish we could turn off the  music or change it. Basically settings. but I LIKE ITTT<3

Any plans to save the results to PNG or OBJ/FBX

oh man, if we could save the object and use mixamo rigs to animate them...

I know right? These models are awesome! Especially if they added simple legs and arms to the exported model.

Even without legs, these would be perfect for VR. Some general expressions and all that; it would be literal gold.
